As it goes with any new beginning, you never go anywhere unless you take the first step. The good news is you've already taken the most important step in your journey when you started looking for help. From here on out, we're with you to guide and support you in your journey.
From the start, we expect that you will probably feel an array of emotions: overwhelmed, anxious, hesitant, and fearful of what is to come and how everything is going to work out. If you are coming in for detox or beginning the Partial Hospitalization or Intensive Outpatient Program, you will come with a mix of uncomfortable emotions and, maybe, some pretty uncomfortable physical feelings as well. Rest assured, this is to be expected. Rest assured, you have a place prepared for you that is safe. Rest assured, you will be supported by a team of individuals that genuinely care for your well-being. The next step is simply to rest assured - your Recovery journey is underway.
It takes time to get some semblance of stability and to start feeling better. Regardless of where you begin, when you arrive, you will be tended to by caring staff who will ensure your needs are addressed. You are encouraged to make yourself as comfortable as possible. The only thing you need to do is focus on your Recovery.
During the first couple weeks of treatment, be patient with yourself. Many clients experience some form of physical and mental adjustments as they transition further away from their addiction. Your Treatment Team and Recovery Support team will meet with you regularly to help you through this difficult period. Your recovery community will be there to support and encourage you. And, you will have access to all the resources and services you need to finally break the addiction cycle. As you progress, at your own pace, you will work along side your Treatment Team to continue moving forward in this journey.
We are a Recovery Community and we look out for one another. If you are staying with us as a part of your treatment, when you arrive at the house, the community will be there to assist you, helping you get you settled in. If you need some space, they will respectfully create that for you until you feel comfortable. If you are coming in just for IOP group sessions or treatment, you are equally a part of our community. Regardless of which program you're in, from the very start, your Treatment Team, your Recovery Support team, and your Recovery Community will be there for you.
